Private Instruction

We are so happy to see you are interested in advancing your development through private or semi-private lessons with our best-in-class instructors.  While we have listed some of our acclaimed instructors below, it is most important that you start by contacting The Pond CEO Elisa Nash to discuss the path, objectives, times, and dates that are right for you so that we can help you get the most out of every session.  Elisa can be reached at (440) 543-3884 or contact@ilovethepond.com.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
  • All private lesson instructors posted are Pond Approved.
  • Skaters or parents please contact the instructor directly for availability. When picking your instructor please ask questions to be sure your selection is a good fit for your child.  Know the coaches policies on cancellations, exchange contact information and matching your child’s goals with the coach.  Most importantly “The best Coach is the one your child enjoys!”
  • Skaters receiving private instruction must sign in and pay the appropriate ice fee and skate rental fee before using the ice.  The instructor is paid directly and are separate from ice session and skate rental fees.
  • Private lessons may be given during Public Skating sessions, Freestyle Time, Stick and Puck as well as ½ Hockey and ½ Figure Skating Sessions.  Arctic Alley is great for beginners and for those seeking a more private area!

“Miss Lori” has been figure skating since she was 2 years old and coaching for the past 35 years. She has been with The Pond since 2006 and Learn To Skate Director since 2018.  Whether you are a learn to skate participant at 2 years old or 72 years old Lori is ready, willing, and able to help you reach your goals. Lori is insured and her credentials include PSA, USFSA, and USA Hockey.

Juliann Montemayor has coached skating for over 30 years. She is a US Figure Skating member and a Professional Skaters Association rated coach.

Delilah Stack has been figure skating for 16 years and teaching for 6 years. She is a Moves in the Field Senior Gold Medalist and certified with Learn To Skate USA and the United States Figure Skating Association.

Todd has been playing hockey since 1980 and has over 20 years of coaching experience including at the AAA level for goalies and skaters.  He is USA Hockey certified.

Daria is a Double Gold Medalist in Freestyle and Figures who is Master Rated in Freestyle and specializes in choreography and Freestyle for the competitive skaters.

“Coach Tree” has been coaching as a Gold Medal coach for over 30 years and has over 25 years of experience as a professional athlete as well as 20 years in executive management.  Therese has also been the Program Director at numerous professional shows and skating facilities in Ohio, California, and New York. Therese is currently the COO of Aladdin’s Baking Company and a Certified Executive Life Coach.

Patti has been skating her whole life and is a PSA rated Moves in the Field and Free Skate coach while also coaching Learn To Skate, Dance, and Synchronized Skating.
