Looking for a fun way for your Mite player to get more time on the ice?

Mite Friday Night Out at The Pond is a relaxed, high-energy program designed for players to simply play hockey and have fun.

Sessions are run by our GYHA coaches, who organize the games, keep things moving, and create a positive and structured environment on the ice.

This program focuses on 4-on-4 cross-ice hockey, giving players more puck touches, more involvement in the play, and more opportunities to build confidence.

While there may occasionally be a short warm-up or quick drill session, the focus of the evening is scrimmaging and enjoying the game.

Who This Is For

This program is designed for Mite-level players looking for additional ice time in a fun, relaxed environment.

Players will enjoy fast-paced cross-ice scrimmages that keep them active and involved in the play. Cross-ice hockey allows for more puck touches, quicker decisions, and more fun for young players.

Whether your player wants to stay sharp in the post-season or simply spend more time on the ice with friends, Friday Night Out is all about playing hockey and enjoying the game.

Session Format

• 10 minute warm-up
• 50 minutes of 4-on-4 cross-ice scrimmage
• Game room fun and free public skate after

Cross-ice play keeps players engaged while reinforcing the rules and flow of hockey in an age-appropriate format.

10-minute warm-up followed by ~50 minutes of cross-ice scrimmaging.

🎮 $5 Game Room Tokens
Each skater receives $5 in tokens to use in The Pond game room.

⛸ Free Public Skate
Stay after and enjoy Public Skate from 7:40–8:40 PM.
